Sampdoria’s 1990/91 season was the greatest in the club’s history, as they won their first-ever Serie A title under manager Vujadin Boškov. Powered by the legendary strike duo Gianluca Vialli and Roberto Mancini, known as “The Goal Twins,” the Genoa side combined attacking flair with disciplined defending. Key contributions came from midfielders Toninho Cerezo and Attilio Lombardo, while goalkeeper Gianluca Pagliuca anchored a solid backline. Sampdoria finished with 51 points, four ahead of AC Milan, clinching the Scudetto with a 3–0 win over Lecce. Their triumph marked a golden era, later leading to the 1992 European Cup final appearance.
