1999–2000
Under Dick Advocaat, Rangers dominated Scottish football, winning the Scottish Premier League by 21 points, the Scottish Cup, and the League Cup, completing a domestic treble. With stars like Giovanni van Bronckhorst, Barry Ferguson, Jörg Albertz, and Michael Mols, the team was powerful and balanced. In Europe, they reached the Champions League group stage, showing glimpses of quality but failing to advance.
2000–01
Rangers slipped, finishing 2nd in the league behind Celtic under Martin O’Neill, marking the start of a fierce rivalry shift. They did, however, win the Scottish Cup, beating Celtic 3–2 in a dramatic final. Their European campaign ended early.
